I’ve rewatched “The Icarus Factor” (Star Trek: The Next Generation, season 2, episode 14). The episode has several different plotlines: the personal of a starbase thinking that something is wrong with their computer and not wanting to listen to the specialists and wanting them to check everything, but at last, finally agreeing with them; commander Riker and his father – they have problems which lasted from Will’s childhood and started with his mother’s death and originated with the father always competing with William because he thought it the best way to bring him up; the best part is about Worf needing some special Klingon “party” with pain-sticks and without it he’s out of his mind, doesn’t speak to anybody and rushes at people in general, so Wesley makes research about it and organize it for him, inviting all the friends there. When I saw Miles there – I wanted to tell him: “Mate, if you only knew what awaits you on that way!” *images of Worf’s bachelor party*. Another thing I want to say is that I enjoyed when Data (or Geordi) was telling the other that: “We should help him, we are his family”, - because what I heard was: “We are family”.
